The meeting NOSTOS II between the Ministers of Diaspora of Egypt-Cyprus and Greece took place in London on the 30th and 31st of October 2018 after the initial meeting in Alexandria last April under the hospitality of High Commissioner of Cyprus, Mr. Euripides Evriviades L. and in the presence of Mr. Fotis Fotiou, former Minister of National Defense of Cyprus and now Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Overseas Cypriots, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Greece Terrence and the Foreign Minister of Egypt, Mrs. Nabila Makram. The HMS UK was kindly invited by the Greek Ambassador Mr Dimitrios Karamitso-Tziras and was represented by the Treasurer Dr Kiki Sonidou, and the committee members Dr Foteini Kalofonou and Dr Rania Frangoulis discussing healthcare synergy platforms between the three countries.

ΚΕ.Σ.Υ. plans to develop a database consisting of the contact information of Greek expatriate scientists, which will be available on it’s website. In this way, a channel of communication will be established to enable scientists in Greece to explore opportunities abroad as well as expatriate scientists to further support the scientific community in Greece. They invite all the expatriate medical workforce to declare their availability and willingness to be contacted by and collaborate with individuals as well as scientific organisations in Greece
